The Research Nucleus on Web Archiving and Digital Preservation was created in 2017 with the objective of investigating characteristics of web archiving through national and international initiatives, dealing with both the policies and the technologies involved in the process. It studies aspects related to the preservation, use and access over time of digital objects made available on the web retrospectively and as digital memory (website, sound, image, video, database, data from social networks, among others), with contributions Archivology, Librarianship, Information Science, Communication and Computer Science.
