Archive of the Balassi Institute’s websites

This sub-collection contains copies of the websites of the Balassi Institute, which was closed in September 2016, and of the foreign Hungarian cultural institutes it previously managed. The archived versions were made with Heritrix and HTTrack in the summer of 2020, a few weeks before the web servers were shut down. The playback is done with the Open Wayback, PyWb and SolrWayback software, and the HTTrack backups stored in the file system can also be viewed via the web server. (In all cases, you must click on the link indicating the date of the harvest to view the archive copy.) The capabilities of each archiving and display tool are different, so if something does not appear properly, it is worth clicking on the other red arrow icons to see the alternatives, especially the one with the letter H indicating the HTTRack versions. In addition to the arrows pointing to the harvested copies and to the screenshot from the original homepage, there is also a link to the backups in the American Internet Archive.
